My name is Nichole Robinson Arkins and I was born in the parish of Manchester. I am the last child and only girl among the siblings of seven brothers. I grew up in the rural district of Salmon Town as any other girl child would, surrounded by males, as a tomboy! I attended Sunday school and began singing and reciting poems from an early age in church and community concerts/ events. I attended the Woodlands Primary and Infant School and then the Bishop Gibson High School for Girls for my secondary education. At the point of graduating High School with just a few months away, I attended a Youth Convention hosted by the Faith Assembly Ministry International where the Lord totally transformed my heart and I became a believer of Jesus Christ at the age of sixteen just before my seventeenth birthday. This caused all my summer plans to be rerouted and I began my walk of faith with Jesus Christ in 1998. Not long after, I took an interest in Bible school and attended the Ebenezer Bible Institute where I garnered a Diploma in Theology after two years of study. While on finishing this course of study, I was encouraged to enter the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) National Gospel Competition in 2001 which I did and was placed 1st in the competition with the song, 'Extraordinary God', more popularly known as,' Our God is able'. This launched my career in music and ministry professionally and on a wider scale. I also met and married my husband Roger Arkins during this time of 1998 - 2003. Being involved in ministry islandwide, I was called for an interview by Mr Tyrone Thompson also known as 'Papa San' to be a part of his team as one of his singers, I accepted and worked with him in ministry for over ten years until he went full-time into Pastoring and I started a family. By this time the Lord was directing my path into ministry full-time as a soloist and mandating me to fulfil the call He has on my life, and at present, I am now engaged in doing so, going where the Lord leads and working with my local church in the capacity of a Deaconess and praise and worship leader. May the Lord's will be done in me!! 'And this gospel of the kingdom must be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then shall the end come'- Matthew 24:14.'
